Forgiven, some thoughts
Forgiven: from the Gospel According to Luke 7:36-50
Three Statements
- Real believers keenly sense God’s infinite worthiness.
- Real believers keenly sense their utter sinfulness.
- Real believers keenly sense God’s absolute forgiveness.
Seven Implications of God’s worth, our sin and His forgiveness
Implication #1: We will freely do radical acts of love for God.
Implication #3: We will want to spread the message of forgiveness that is found in Jesus.
Implication #5: We will be slow to be angry in the first place.

Thanks for posting the 'sermon notes' on truly beggars Rob. (and for the announcement! and the other article!) The question that comes to my mind after being reminded to think like this is why do i get distracted and how can i live every day captured by this? it would result in such powerful living- our 'treasure' days would vastly outnumber our 'trash' days. Obviously we as humans have a problem remembering this or books and songs and sermons on this subject wouldn't be needed. If we could only create this way of thinking as a consistent pattern or a habit. Romans 7:15-25 wrestles with the same question and verse 25 answers it and it comes down to praising and thanking God because it is only through Him (seeing his worth, our hopelessness, and his grace) that He 'delivers us from the body.' But even though Paul shares this with us, it doesn't let us off the hook at all. It still comes down to us and how we do with what we've been given. Anyway, thanks again for the update!
